Advanced Rules Update

I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather (at least in the UK), and your ArcWorlde: Second Edition miniatures! I’m convinced that they have all been unpacked, assembled and dutifully painted, as we *definitely* do with all the models in our collections…
This is a general update about the Advanced Rules for ArcWorlde: Second Edition. Quite a few of you folks purchased them during the ArcWorlde: Second Edition campaign, and I’ve been tinkering awat at them ever since. I’ve posted quite a few of my first drafts already, including the Solo Play rules and the Mass Combat rules, and I’ve got loads of other ideas that I’m excited to try out.
Although the original plan was to have the Advanced Rules printed in a paperback book, akin to the Core Rules, after much deliberation over the past few months I have made the decision to instead publish the Advanced Rules as a ‘living’ PDF. This means it will be an ongoing project, with continuing tweaks and changes to keep it up-to-date and viable.
The Advanced Rules, even more so than the Core Rules, will need lots and lots of playtesting and feedback from the community to get right. With such a complex project as the Advanced Rules, I believe a ‘living rulebook’ format would suit it much more. There is so much content I have planned, as well as wacky, experimental game mechanics, and feedback from the community will be extremely important to their development. Once something is printed it cannot be changed, and this does not suit the vision of the Advanced Rules that I have.
As it is going to be a living rulebook, I would like to make it free and accessible to all ArcWorlde players. Those of you who were kind enough to pay for a physical book during the Kickstarter will therefore be gifted a £12 voucher to spend on the Warploque Miniatures webstore. I’ll work on sending this to all of you in the next few days.
I am hoping to have the first draft of the ArcWorlde: Second Edition Advanced Rules ready in the next few weeks for you all to try out. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, especially if you are able to play some games now that lockdown in many countries is easing.
The Forest of Dragons and Lair of the Spider Queen Campaigns.
There are also a few of you who are awaiting the PDFs for the two campaigns that are included with the Forest Dragon and Arcanid Queen. These will be released roughly at the same time as the Advanced Rules, so stay tuned for more details.

The Imperials Kickstarter launches tonight!

I hope you are all well. I speak to you now frantically tapping away at my keyboard because... it's Kickstarter time, again!
This Kickstarter will see the release of a brand new Faction, the Imperials.
In addition to these, we will also see some new models for the existing four Factions, the Halflings, Wild Elves, Beastfolk and Undead Raiders, as well as a rather large Sword for Hire...

Because this is planned to be a much smaller campaign, there are only a few Early Birds available, so be sure to be there at 9pm tonight to be in for a chance of grabbing a bargain!

General Updates - and the next ArcWorlde Kickstarter!

I hope you are all well, and continuing to look after yourselves and your loved ones in these odd times. I'm writing this update today to fill you in on a few bits of information, and to inform you of the next exciting step for ArcWorlde!
All Pledges have been Shipped!
Now that the lockdown is starting to ease (for better or worse), I've been able to ship all of your ArcWorlde: Second Edition Kickstarter parcels. We sent them at the start of last week, but they may still take a while to arrive due to lack of commercial flights. If in 2 weeks you have yet to receive them, please let me know.
ArcWorlde: Second Edition - Advanced Rules
Work continues on the Advanced Rules for ArcWorlde: Second Edition. As stated in the campaign, these will take a little bit longer to work on and will be shipped separately later in the year. The pandemic hasn't been good for playtesting, as nobody can meet up to play games, but we are still on track to have them shipped by the end of the year. This of course gives you lots of time to master the Core Rules first, aha!
The Imperials are Coming...
I am delighted to announce that the next Faction for ArcWorlde, the Imperials, will be hitting Kickstarter on the 21st of July 2020, in just less than two weeks! I've been really enjoying sculpting these since the work on the previous Kickstarter was completed, and I hope you folks like them too.
More information will be put up over the next fortnight, with a link to the pre-launch page when it is ready!

US BACKERS (IMPORTANT) - Shipping Updates

I hope you are all well. This is an update for all of you lovely folks in the United States, specifically for those who have yet to contact me about shipping your ArcWorlde parcels (See update 75).
So it's been announced by the Royal Mail that there is going to be a vast price increase to ship parcels to the US. I won't go too much into the details, but apparently it's down to the US increasing costs at their end, and therefore the cost of shipping a parcel to the US from the UK will more than double on the 1st of July.
In light of this, all remaining parcels to the US will be shipped at the end of June.
If you would still like us to keep hold of your parcels until after the pandemic, please contact us and we will arrange something for you. However, we will have to ask you to cover the extra cost of shipping.

NON-UK BACKERS - Arranging Courier Shipping

Hope you are well. This is an update for non-UK backers who have yet to contact us about shipping their pledge (see update 75).
If you are getting major FOMO seeing everyone painting their ArcWorlde models, but don't quite trust the regular postal services yet, I can arrange a tracked courier to send you your pledge.
If you would like me to do this, please drop me a message on Kickstarter. I will find out the price of the courier, and once the difference is paid we can ship it off to you!
